The production of Troyan plum brandy has a centuries-old tradition that began behind the walls of the Troyan Monastery. Later, the secret recipe and technology left the monastery and spread throughout the Troyan region. With respect and responsibility for the past, VINPROM - TROYAN preserves and develops this tradition to this day. The company offers various plum brandies that differ both in their character and in the period of aging in oak barrels.
VINPROM - TROYAN's natural fruit distillates are produced from high-quality, fresh and well-ripened fruits. The fruits are harvested at technological maturity, and their processing begins immediately after delivery. The fruits are ground after the stones are separated. After controlled fermentation, the fruit pulp passes through a distillation column, with the distillation process being continuous. In this way, the distillate retains the aroma and taste of the fruits used. The additional qualities of plum brandy are developed through aging in oak barrels. Each stage of production is carefully monitored by our craftsmen, who ensure that the finished product meets all quality requirements. Thus, each bottle retains its unique taste, colour and aroma.
The company VINPROM – TROYAN AD has been producing fruit brandies with a tradition since 1948.
The most famous is plum brandy. In addition, it produces other fruit brandies – apricot, quince, pear, apple, cherry, sour cherry, mirabelle. Every year, the company accepts between more than 3,000 tons of Bulgarian fruits. After acceptance, fruits go through a fermentation and distillation process. We produce plum distillate, apricot distillate, pear distillate, apple distillate, quince distillate, cherry distillate and sour cherry distillate. The majority of the produced distillate is diluted to a lower alcohol content and placed in oak barrels where the aging process of the brandy begins. After aging, we remove the distillate and produce the final product – high-quality Troyanska brandy / rakia.
