We present to you one of twenty-five bottles of plum brandy, aged in oak barrels since November 2020. We, the people from VINPROM - TROYAN, always treat plum brandy with respect and put a lot of effort and passion into the production of this Bulgarian national drink. We will be happy if with this bottle we can pass on a piece of our dedication to the selected fruit distillates to you.
The classic plum brandy has been produced in the Troyan region since the beginning of the 19th century. The climatic conditions are favorable for growing plum trees and the processing of their fruits has created a livelihood for the local population. Distilling rakia is an art that has become a specialty of local masters, passed down from generation to generation.
The tradition of aging fruit brandies in barrels is emblematic of the Balkan region. It takes time to reveal the unique qualities of the plum in terms of aroma, taste and sweetness and they are best felt by those who have had the patience to wait. The Troyan plum brandy is aged in Bulgarian oak barrels in the cellars of VINPROM - TROYAN and this process is carefully monitored by our qualified technologists.
